Privacy Policy
Privacy-first by design Β Β·Β No tracking cookies
Last updated: May 2026
The short version
This site does not track you. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics profiles, no data brokers, nothing sold. You can read every page without consenting to anything β because there is nothing to consent to.
The longer version below exists because the GDPR asks for it, not because the data practices are complicated.
Who is responsible
This site (devops.pink) is operated by Tatiana Mikhaleva. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
What data is processed
Hosting. The site is served through Netlify. Netlify keeps standard server-side request logs (IP address, request URL, user agent, referrer) for the purpose of delivering pages and protecting the service against abuse. No third-party analytics platform is loaded by this site, so there is no client-side measurement, no event tracking, and no per-visitor profile beyond what is needed to serve a static page.
Comments. Comments are powered by Giscus, which stores them as discussions in a public GitHub repository. The comment widget loads only when you scroll to the comment section. To post a comment you sign in with GitHub β at that point GitHub processes your account data under its own privacy policy. If you never comment, no GitHub interaction occurs beyond loading the widget.
Fonts. All fonts are self-hosted and served from this domain. No font CDN (such as Google Fonts) ever receives your IP address.
That is the complete list. No contact forms, no newsletter, no e-commerce, no account system, no profiling.
Cookies
The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The hosting provider may set strictly-necessary security cookies (for example, to mitigate abuse); these are exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive because they are essential to delivering the service you requested. Because no non-essential cookies are set, there is no cookie-consent banner β one would be theatre.
Third parties
| Service | Purpose | Data it sees | Their policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosting, CDN | IP address, request metadata | netlify.com/privacy |
| GitHub / Giscus | Comments | GitHub account β only if you choose to comment | GitHub Privacy Statement |
No data is shared with anyone else. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data processed about you, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because this site keeps no personal database, most requests resolve quickly. Email [email protected] to exercise any right.
For comments, you control your own content directly through GitHub β you can edit or delete any comment from the underlying discussion at any time.
Data retention
Hosting access logs are retained by Netlify under its own schedule and contain no personal identifiers beyond IP address. Comments persist in the public GitHub discussion until you delete them.
Changes
If these practices change, this page is updated and the βlast updatedβ date above changes with it. Any material change to tracking (there is none today) would be announced on the site.
